"Gotham City", P.E.I.? - Holy Batman, Robin!!!

Acorn Press and Finley Martin have launched his new book "The Reluctant Detective"

This new book may present a challenge to Prince Edward Island's Image of "The Gentle Island". It is featured on the website "Crime Writers of Canada" in paperback format while indicating that eBook format is TBA.

Here is an excerpt from the website...

"Don't expect the charm of Green Gables or quaint fisherman's shacks in this page-turning thriller set on PEI. The Reluctant Detective takes a giant step closer to Gotham City than it does to Avonlea when Anne Brown tackles two ruthless competitors after a prize she controls -- a million dollar valise!"

Artisans On Main

Artisans on Main

Imagine the excitement for tourists and residents strolling Montague's Main Street, and enjoying live demonstrations by you and other artists.  The idea is that currently vacant storefronts will become showcases for artists in all genres, making an attractive lure for street traffic.

Want to discuss and possibly participate?

Planning sessions for this 2012 pilot project are held in the Rural Action Centre Boardroom.  Artists, landlords and other stakeholders are invited to attend.  Call Stella Jamieson at 838-4030 (x238) for details.
